Your workplace at a glance

InnerCircle connects to Microsoft 365 and shows you live information about your colleagues and your workspace — no separate logins, no manual updates.

👥
People You Work With
See the live availability and location of the colleagues you work with most — whether they're in the office, remote, in a meeting, or away.
📍
Where Is Everyone?
When your organisation uses Microsoft Places, InnerCircle shows exactly which building, floor and area a colleague is in — updated in real time.
🏢
Nearby Colleagues
If you're in the office, InnerCircle automatically highlights colleagues in the same building so you can see who you might bump into.
🗂️
My Organisation
Your manager, skip manager, peers and direct reports — shown with their live status so you can see who's available before you reach out.
📅
Calendar Status
Each person card shows whether they're currently in a meeting or free, so you know the best time to approach them or send a message.
🏙️
Office Headcount
See how many people are in each building today — handy for deciding whether it's worth making the commute in.
🪑
Book a Desk
Browse available desks in your building, see which are free, and book directly from InnerCircle — it goes straight into your Microsoft 365 calendar.
💬
Status Messages
Set a status message like "In focus mode" or "Heading out" and it appears as a speech bubble on your profile for your colleagues to see.
📊
My Week in Numbers
A quick summary of how your week looks — meeting time, focus time, email, chat and calls — pulled from your own Microsoft 365 analytics.

It's as simple as signing in

InnerCircle uses your existing Microsoft 365 account — there's nothing to install and no separate account to create.

1
Open InnerCircle
Visit the InnerCircle URL your organisation has been given and click Sign in with Microsoft.
2
Sign in with Microsoft
Use your normal Microsoft 365 work account — the same one you use for Teams, Outlook and SharePoint.
3
See your workplace
InnerCircle loads your people, presence and location data automatically. No setup, no configuration.
4
Stay connected
Chat or call colleagues directly via the Teams buttons on their card, or book a desk for the day.

What does InnerCircle see?

InnerCircle only reads data your organisation has already shared within Microsoft 365. Here's exactly what it accesses — and what it doesn't.

Your profile
Name, job title, department, email and profile photo — the same information visible in Teams and Outlook.
Presence & location
Your availability status (Available, Busy, Away) and work location (office or remote) — set by Microsoft Teams and shown to colleagues already.
Free/busy calendar
Whether you're in a meeting right now or free — the same free/busy info visible to colleagues in Outlook when they try to book a meeting.
Your own analytics
Your personal Viva Insights weekly summary — meeting time, focus time, etc. Only you can see your own analytics in InnerCircle.
🚫
Not stored by AVI-SPL
None of your data passes through or is stored on AVI-SPL servers. InnerCircle fetches data live from Microsoft 365 directly in your browser.
🚫
Not read: email content
InnerCircle never reads the content of your emails, messages, documents or any other personal content beyond what's listed above.

All data access is governed by your organisation's Microsoft 365 policies and your company's IT administrator. InnerCircle operates within the same permissions framework as Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

FAQ

Yes — your presence and work location are visible to colleagues in the same way they are in Microsoft Teams. If you appear as "In Office" in Teams, your building location will show in InnerCircle too. You can change your presence status directly in Teams or InnerCircle at any time.
No. InnerCircle reads your current presence and location as set by Microsoft Teams or Microsoft Places — it does not track movement, log your location over time, or store any historical data.
Detailed building, floor and desk information requires Microsoft Places to be configured by your IT team. If it's not set up in your organisation, InnerCircle will show general office/remote status only.
Desk booking requires Microsoft Places to be configured with bookable workspaces. If no desks appear, your organisation's IT team may need to set these up in the Microsoft Places admin centre.
InnerCircle is a web app that works in any modern browser — including Safari and Chrome on iOS and Android. Open it in your mobile browser just like you would on a desktop.
InnerCircle is available to registered organisations only. If you're seeing this, your company may not have been set up yet — contact your IT helpdesk or AVI-SPL to request access.
No — InnerCircle is designed for members of your own Microsoft 365 organisation. Guest accounts and external users are not supported.
